My name is Mariela, I am a lively, social and happy person. I've been working with children for years and I feel it is an amazingly rewarding job.
I am lucky to be part of Arimunani, a place where we find new ways of learning about ourselves, the world around us and doing all this while respecting others and the natural environment.
I am Joana Maria, enthusiastic about living a conscious, connected, loving and joyful life. That's why I like doing yoga, walking on the beach, swimming, hiking in the mountains, traveling and being able to share these moments.
I have been trained in Early Childhood Education and with a Master's Degree in Psychomotricity. I am always looking for continuous training, focusing on alternative pedagogies, emotional support and personal growth.
The path I have traveled so far has marked my way of understanding the accompaniment of children, to respect the rhythms and life processes of each person. I am very grateful to be able to be close to the children and watch them grow.
See you this year in Arimunani with great enthusiasm and excitement to meet you and be with your children!
My name is Veronica which means "True Image". Dreamy, cheerful, energetic and curious, I enjoy practicing sports, collecting laughs and devouring books. Whenever I have the chance, I pack my suitcase and i through myself to discover new worlds.
I love the sea, music, fantasy and the company of cats. I love sunny days, black and white photos, words, sincere looks, to reach my goals and to share my joys.
Being a companion means much more to me than developing a profession, it is to accompany and guide, it is to give support, awareness and love, it is to be able to admire how they grow and to witness the discoveries they make every day, and it is also the responsibility of being an example to follow.
Being a companion is a privilege, and to do this in Arimunani is to feel that you are in the perfect setting to carry out what you believe in so much.
Hello, my name is Carol, I am from Malaga but I have been in this wonderful island for 8 years.
My great vocation has always been to accompany children. My degree is in early childhood education, but I have also worked in a Montessori school that opened a new world for me, of active pedagogy. After this experience I moved towards projects and schools of living education, attending to the needs of children with a very close emotional accompaniment.
I am enthusiastic about accompanying them on their journey, attending to their own rhythms, observing and guiding their progress, and co-creating a loving bond with them.
I consider myself a quiet but active person at the same time, spontaneous, outgoing, with initiative and desire to learn continuously.
I love everything related to art and creative development both personally and offering resources to children, as I am inspired by dance and everything that has to do with body expression; I do yoga, meditation, reiki and I really enjoy connecting with nature.
A colorful greeting.
I’m Kirsty, I’m from Yorkshire in England but have been happy to call Mallorca home since 2005. I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1996, and started working in Dublin in a centre for children with disabilities. After several years in Mallorca teaching English to all ages, I finally found a home in Arimunani where I can combine my love of teaching English with helping children with all areas of their development, whether that be emotional, physical or language related.
I am particularly passionate about how children achieve early reading and writing skills and strive to make sure that learning is through play, no matter how old the child. I adore children’s books and so try to inspire a love of listening to stories, and eventually a passion for reading in children in my classes.
What I admire and appreciate most about Arimunani is that as teachers, we are allowed to give each individual child a chance to develop at their own pace, even if that is faster or slower than what would be considered the “norm” in a more traditional setting.
I’m proud to be a Munani mummy and watch my own daughter grow and develop in ways I never thought would be possible in a “regular” school.
My name is Paqui. I graduated in Teaching of Infant Education and I am a cheerful, fun and very loving person.
Arimunani is a place where you can be yourself, express what you need, say whats happening to you, and where you always find someone who will guide you.
We are in continuous emotional and pedagogical training and that makes us overcome eachday a little better, since, we learn to know ourselves and that is so experiential. It makes you naturally transmit it to the little ones.
Arimunani is home, family and a place where much LOVE is breathed.
I am Margaret, I am from Scotland and have been in Spain for over 40 years. I consider myself a loving, caring, kind and happy person. I work with the youngest children in the school, being a support for their companions and it is a job that makes me very happy because the children give me every day the dose of joy and love I need. My contribution is, in addition to all the love I am able to give, singing, playing and telling stories in English. I love my role as "Arimunani's grandmother" with all the good that goes with it.
I'm Sarah, native English speaker, raised in Pollença and a nature lover!
I'm an English teacher since 2009, accompanying children in their learning through games, songs, arts and crafts, storytelling and theatre!
I love animals, plants, the outdoors, meditation, singing, dancing and learning from children in every moment!
I live in the countryside with Sebastian, our 8 year old daughter Kira, our dog Ela and our cats Choco, Naranjita and Princesita.
I am Estefanía Gómez (Stefy), half German, half Andalusian, half Catalan and now a little Mallorcan.
I am a teacher of hearing and language and have 15 years of experience in the field of education, both special education, speech therapy, infant and primary in public and private schools.
I feel very identified with Arimunani because 6 years ago I realized that I could not perceive education otherwise than by promoting
integral human development, educating in a lively, active, creative and participatory way, taking into account the delicate evolutionary stages of children, with a change of look and a respectful education in connection with the students.
My name is Monica, but everyone calls me Moni.
I have always been linked to working with children, as well as English and waking up in nature.
I am passionate about languages, learning and always receptive to whatever may come my way.
I’m Clair Humphery. I am a teacher and mother of two girls. I've been working as a teacher in Scotland, Madrid and Palma for 20 years. I am looking to grow as a teacher and be part of a center that intones with my beliefs of upbringing and respectful education. I am enjoying the training, I am doing with EDUK "Dynamic Pedagogy Training and Educational Innovation". I am an athlete and in my spare time I like to play sports with my family. My favorite sports are horse riding, stand up paddle boarding and diving.
Arimunani is for me the place-home where I can give the children everything I learned during my personal growth process, and where I feel fulfilled in the work and the service I deliver.
I am totally grateful to be able to accompany the children in their emotions and needs from spaces where yoga, mindfulness, sensory travel, relaxation and massages are part of a day to day in which we deliver the best of ourselves,
and we give ourselves the space to receive the best of others through getting to understand our emotions and knowing what we need at all times.
An intense internal search process has been essential to be a companion, and that will continue throughout life and in which children, as my little teachers and reflection, have been the essence of this path. As well the relationship with nature and training in different alternative pedagogies are the pillars of the work I perform with a lot of love in Arimunani.
My name is Jaume Estarellas and I have been a teacher of English for more than 10 years now. During all this time working with babies, children, teenagers and adults I have learned the importance of the emotional part in learning at any time of life. I arrive to Arimunani with the hope of contributing with the same energy and positivity that the project makes me feel. It is really great having the chance to work with children in a place where everyone is allowed to be oneself.
Hello, my name is Tere and I am part of the wonderful Arimunani team. I am a very lively and familiar person, I love music, read novels and talking, especially talking.
I know that I will learn a lot from this experience and I hope to be able to offer all the good that is in me both to children and parents. I am very grateful for the trust that has been placed in me and I will demonstrate it on a daily basis.
I am a cheerful and hardworking, creative, passionate person of my family (dog included), music and mathematics, but, above all, with more and more capacity to be surprised by our Munanis and learn a lot from them. I am delighted to unlearn and relearn, to see that school days can be done in another way and, in general, to be an active part of this great adventure.
Hello! I’m Sandra, a teacher specializing in Foreign Languages, Human and Environmental education and Yoga/Mindfulness for children.
I have more than 15 years of experience working in educational projects.
During this time I have found that all learning must start from the inside.
It must involve open, dynamic, and participatory education, that respects the pace and internal processes of each individual.
I am Rocío. I am fascinated by the landscape and the world of the mountains. I enjoy climbing, dancing and cooking with fresh and local products.
As a companion I would say that I am curious, happy to learn everything that children can teach me.
I promote order and harmony, while learning that they are compatible with spontaneity and freshness.
I am affectionate, learning that not everyone always needs the same kind of affection.
And I can't hide it... I'm a math and experimental science geek, and I love learning languages!
I am Cristina, teacher for many years and Primary school accompanist since 2019. I love my job, over the years I have been defining my way of accompanying children in their learning process, always through respect and love, while still motivating them to grow and develop.
I am in love with nature, I try not to miss its little details. I love dancing, hiking and sports.
My other passion is natural therapies, which I had the opportunity to study and practice for a few years. For me they are a way to live life in a healthy way and to take care of oneself.
I am delighted to be part of the Arimunani team.
Teacher of an education where the books are written on the trees, printed on the hands, and distributed throughout the earth. I live learning non stop.
I discovered active education, I delved into several pedagogical sources and in Oviedo I developed and carried out my teaching work for 6 years in a non-directive active school (La Quinta’l Texu).
I wasdirector the first years, and at the same time I worked as a companion in infants and primary school. I was responsible of movement, art and music sessions.
I believe in games as an engine of learning, in respect as the base of all relationships; and in the validation of emotions as the base of personal growth and development.
Now happy and excited to be part of this young project.
I am Gloria, from Gijón, Asturian of sea and mountains. I love to travel and live in different places. And I love reading, eating, biking, skating... and I play roller derby!
I accompany children by vocation, believing in respect and trust, in freedom and responsibility.
I have come to the island with Javi, my partner, and Güido, our dog companion.
My name is Maria and I consider myself passionate about my large family, about the earth in its natural state, about art in all possible materials and techniques, and about peace and respect. I like to create, read, travel, laugh, play sports... and enjoy small things ("hygge" in Denmark).
It makes me happy to be part of the Arimunani team and to accompany children so that they become more aware of themselves and their processes, aware of others and aware of the world in which they live.
Since I was a child, I was fascinated by nature. My favorite toys were a collection of plastic animals, among which I adopted a cow that always went with me. I spent my childhood vacations on a farm in Menorca, surrounded by chickens, geese, rabbits and countless other living creatures; most of my memories take place in that natural space.
That passion led me to study biology and I specialized in the study of birds and biodiversity conservation.
After a brief stint in scientific research and a series of life experiences, I realized that the preservation of natural ecosystems does not depend on their management by humans, but on a change in the way we relate to them and that this paradigm shift can only come from a cultural transformation.
Thus, after several volunteer jobs in environmental education and education with adolescents, and especially when I discovered alternative pedagogies,
I decided to train and dedicate myself professionally to educational accompaniment. In Arimunani, I feel that I can accompany the personal growth of new generations, from care and respect, and at the same time, transmit my love for life and all its forms.
I have a degree in Biology and I am very interested in both ecology and environmental education.
During my career I have been able to develop my two passions in different countries besides Spain, in Norway and Canada. I understand education as an acquisition of skills and abilities with motivation as the engine of the learning process.
Therefore I feel fortunate to be able to facilitate this process in Arimunani.
Learning is one of my latent passions. Since I was very young I have had the opportunity to participate in alternative educational proposals, both in Catalonia and abroad, always dedicated to the close accompaniment of pre-adolescents and adolescents.
I am starting a new stage in Mallorca in Arimunani with a great desire to contribute, but also to continue learning.
I love to grow through experience, which has led me to travel around the world, to know different cultures and now to settle in Mallorca.
I'm Hélène, I'm French and I have lived in Mallorca since 2006. I have lived in 3 different countries and I love everything related to languages and travelling. That's why I am a language teacher.
I realized that there was a more effective and natural way to acquire a language and, since then, I like my job even more because both the students and I enjoy learning through stories.
Hi, I'm Mar, my mother is from Mallorca and my father is from Cadiz. My veins are intertwined with the calmness of the island and the warmth and ease of Andalusia.
On paper I am a Hispanic philologist; in my heart, a tireless communicator and a linguistic agitator. I have arrived at Arimunani to make the syntax workshops a space for reflection, enjoyment and linguistic empowerment, because, as Wittgenstein said, "the limits of our language are the limits of our world".
Hi, I'm Eduard Sastre, graduated in History at the UIB.
Lover of popular culture and music, restless mind and curious nature. I enjoy sharing and transmitting knowledge. The task of teaching is a challenge that must be faced with courage and determination. Learning is always an adventure, let's start it together.
I am Julia, a philologist at heart and teacher from my soul.
Languages and art are my passion. To understand them better it is necessary to also immerse oneself in culture, history, society...
And what I like even more is sharing these pleasures and transmitting them. When I was in high school, I was afraid of maths and science.
It has been a long path to realize that they are part of a whole and to appreciate their beauty.
That is why I would like to be able to guide each of my students to find their passions, but always appreciating the beauty of all the "-ologies" (Greek suffix that we use to study different fields. For example: philology, meteorology, phytology, biology, etc.).
This year I invite you to know everything related to la bella Italia e la sua lengua.
